Witnesham Baptist Church
All services and other activities are on hold at the moment. We will let you know as soon as we can safely open again. Keep looking for the news we hope to give you soon.
Midsummer’s Day approaches with more significance this year than we’ve known before. June 21 is the day earmarked for ending the legal restrictions that have been in place for over 18 months. It is also set aside for Suffolk Day so we have two good reasons to celebrate.
Certainly, Suffolk has a lot to celebrate from coast to country, beautiful seaside resorts and quiet coves, gently undulating colourful fields, many country walks, loads of history and village or towns offering shopping opportunities and places to stay and eat. As we celebrate, can I just nudge you to thank God for all the good things that make up Suffolk, including the people all around us? Yes, I know some misbehave but we have seen more good than bad over the past year. As we leave restrictions behind, I hope we hold onto the positive behaviour, concern and care towards others, including respect for those in front line working positions. Please don’t resort to taking these folks for granted!
Witnesham Baptist Church will continue online for the next couple of months or so tune into Witnesham BC on YouTube for our weekly message. The delay in regathering on Sundays and during the week, is to respect the health and wellbeing of those in vulnerable groups.
Whilst our Sunday message is on YouTube, I am around and contactable using the link on the website or on 07851 060482. If you would like prayer for anything or anyone, you could pop a note in the church letterbox and I’ll pick it up.
“God Bless all and celebrate and meditate on all that is true, and honourable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” Bible, Philippians 4v8
In the conservatory, we have a FIND (Families in Need) collection box which can be used for donations when the post office is open. Non-perishable food is very welcome.
Outside we have a Salvation Army clothes bank. All contributions are gratefully received.
The post office is still available in our conservatory on Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings. Please use this service to help keep it in the village.
