Well-Used Tools Gifted To Station Adopters’ Project

David Males, a well-respected resident of Westerfield since April 1980, has moved to be near his daughter Michelle and his son-in-law Mark in Derbyshire. David was thrilled to be able to pass on his garden tools and wheelbarrow to support the amazing restoration work and wildlife planting at Westerfield Railway Station as part of Greater Anglia’s Station Adopters Scheme.

David and his wife Valerie were keen gardeners and active members of the community so it is wonderful that their garden tools will continue to be used in Westerfield. We hope very much that David will visit Westerfield soon and see how useful the tools have been.

The Suffolk Gardeners’ Guild has kindly given a donation to the Westerfield scheme to purchase further gardening tools for their latest project, turning wasteland into a wildlife garden. Sandy, a member of the team, is pictured with some of the tools.
