Volunteering in a care home or other local organisation can be one of the most rewarding ways to help improve our communities and the lives of others.
To showcase the amazing work that volunteers do and to promote local volunteering opportunities, Alice Grange Care Home on Ropes Drive will be holding a volunteer recruitment fair on Saturday, April 22 in partnership with other organisations and charities that rely on volunteer support.
The event takes place in support of National Volunteer Recognition Day and it felt timely that on this day we celebrate not only our wonderful team of volunteers but did what we could to make the role of the volunteer known.
Any local group or charity that uses volunteer support is invited to have a stall to showcase the different ways people can volunteer in our community.
Please make contact via [email protected] or 01473 333551 if you would like the opportunity to have a stall at the home and the opportunity to talk to interested people about what you do and what you need by way of volunteering.
Are you looking for a volunteering opportunity?
Don’t know what you could do?
Then this event is for very much for you!
Come along and see what is available on your doorstep. We hope you will find an opportunity that feels great.
It’s important to know that you don’t need a particular skill set to volunteer. Within our community there is a need for a great variety of skills and simply the gift of your time and company can go a really long way.
Drivers, singers, befrienders and sorters, packers, walkers, knitters and cooks, chaperones, readers, nail painters and hand holders are all required and really do make such an important difference to the lives of those in need.
