Suffolk Libraries’ DiscoveReads online book group will be hosting an online chat with bestselling author Lisa Jewell this Thursday (14 January) at 7pm.
Lisa will be reading from her latest bestselling thriller ‘Invisible Girl’, chatting to Lisa Brennan from Suffolk Libraries and then answering questions from the audience.
You don’t need to be a member of the group and anyone is welcome to book a place and enjoy the event online via Zoom. Tickets are free but Suffolk Libraries would welcome any donations to support its work across Suffolk. You can book a place via this link: suffolklibraries.co.uk/whats-on/live-author-chat-and-q-and-a-with-lisa-jewell.
Lisa Brennan, Suffolk Libraries Content and Reader Development Librarian, said:
“Lisa Jewell is a No 1 Sunday Times Bestselling author and will be joining us this week to discuss Invisible Girl. Her previous book, The Family Upstairs, tipped Lisa into megabrand status with just shy of half a million copies sold and over 20 weeks in the Sunday Times bestseller charts. Our DiscoveReads events are proving very popular and we’re delighted to be welcoming such a well-known and popular author to our latest chat.”
Next week Suffolk Libraries will also be in discussion with Gabby Edlin, CEO and founder of Bloody Good Period on Thursday 21 January at 5.30pm.
This event is part of Unfinished Business – The Fight for Women’s Rights and will discuss period poverty and the battles not yet won for equality. You can find out more and book a place via this link. Bloody Good Period are a partner of Suffolk Libraries’ Pride & Periods service, which has been providing free sanitary items in libraries across Suffolk.
