Manningtree & District Photographic Society

We enjoyed two Zoom talks in January, Forever Learning with club members Ann and John Laverock and All the Gear and no Idea with Roger Hance.

We are a small and friendly group of photography enthusiasts who (in normal times) meet up on the Essex/Suffolk border. The club aims to provide an enjoyable environment for members to enjoy the development of their photographic skills through a variety of activities in the company of likeminded individuals.

Our Zoom meetings continue to attract a good number of members and recent competitions were well supported. We also have the Facebook challenge to keep us motivated. Caroline by Ian Bancroft was the winning image in our Ladies Name challenge.

Meetings will continue via Zoom until further notice. You’ll find all the details on the website but in February we have two competitions.

February 11: Woodland
February 25: Contre Joure (pictures captured against the light)

Normally we meet at 7.30pm on the second, fourth and fifth Thursdays at the St Johns Ambulance Centre, Station Road, Manningtree CO11 1EB.

New members are welcome to join us via Zoom at present or may attend initially as visitors. Please contact our secretary, Viv Scurrell for details: 01206 393751 / [email protected] or visit e-voice.org.uk/manningtreeanddistrictphotographicsociety.

This article runs in the February issue of the Manningtree edition, which you can read in full by clicking on Magazines.
