Kesgrave Town Council: May Update
We have another monthly update from the lovely councillors at the Kesgrave Town Council:
Fun For The Town!
Fingers crossed we can put the last 12 months behind us and that you can enjoy Kesgrave Fun Day on the Millennium Jubilee Field on Saturday 31 July from 11am to 4pm. With face painting, the popular climbing wall, segways, inflatables and much more, there really is something for everyone. All activities are free so come and enjoy yourselves!
If you would like to have a stall or perform at the fun day, please contact Jennie on the telephone number below.
Have you seen the wonderful Wombles? The group only started a few weeks ago and already have over 185 members on their Facebook page. The Kesgrave Womble Group has been set up by Kesgrave resident Anne-Marie Davies with the support of Jason Alexander from Rubbish Walks.
With the power of social media, hot spots are identified and if the Wombles are unable to clear the rubbish, broken glass or larger items, then one of our three estate operatives is happy to go and clear the area. We also have the support of East Suffolk Norse who collects the bags that the group leaves at the town council office.
The bin bags used by the Wombles have a Womble sticker on them, so we can see just how much rubbish they have collected and sorted for recycling. Remember the Womble slogan:
Love where you live, respect where you don’t!
The Hang Out
Youth provision for young people in Kesgrave hopes to soon resume at the Millennium Hall on Thursday evenings. Watch out for posters and Facebook posts for news.
Kesgrave 5K Fun Run: 8 August
The Kesgrave 5K Fun Run is in aid of the Kate Moyes Memorial Fund and St Elizabeth Hospice. This year’s fancy dress theme is Superheros to show our appreciation of all NHS staff and critical workers. Please contact Debbie for further information: 07557 809709 / www.kesgrave5k.com
