News & Media Sales Consultant

We are looking to add to our existing media sales team. We have four interrelated companies that provide a vast range of services and products including community, music and lifestyle magazines (more than 80,000 copies delivered to homes and businesses across Suffolk and North Essex every month); complete print and finishing services and office supplies.

Our company vision is to be the answer when a need exists.

This role is integral to achieving this vision and as a sales consultant, you must be able to understand all media options/platforms and client’s business challenges to make bespoke media campaign recommendations that would best suit their needs and generate results. Listening and understanding the client’s business is therefore key to this role. Responsible also for recording the results of initiatives to track the success or recommend changes to original proposals.

All sales consultants are aligned to this goal with clear team and personal KPI’s supported by a bonus scheme.

To be successful in this role;

  • Be able to build strong working relationships
  • Proven & strong negotiator and salesperson (converting cold and warm leads)
  • Ability to drive new ideas and initiatives
  • Ability to generate cross selling and upselling opportunities
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, proactive and self motivated
  • Professional and commercial approach
  • Ability to work to targets and motivated to exceed them
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (face to face and virtually)
  • Flexible to change
  • Excellent IT skills and digital savvy
  • Experience required; Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Media Sales Role. Excellent IT and communication

Trainee Sales Consultant

understand all media options/platforms and client’s business challenges to make bespoke media campaign recommendations that would best suit their needs and generate results. Listening and understanding the client’s business is therefore key to this role. Responsible also for recording the results of initiatives to track the success or recommend changes to original proposals.
