Hadleigh Library: Bit By Bit
As I write this piece, I am sat in the library in some of our closed-to-the-public hours. I have spent the day with one of my colleagues processing books: new, reservations, Select and Collect orders and more, and it’s great to be back and to know that our library service is returning bit by bit to normal.
By the time this is published, it may well be that we have moved forward enough to be able to welcome you into the library building for use of even more of our services. Because the safety of our customers and staff is of the utmost importance, we are giving each step of reopening thorough thought to make sure we have the safest way to welcome you all back, and we are very much looking forward to seeing you all.
Like you, we will be wearing face coverings; I don’t know about you, but I have found that this has already become quite normal and when I’m pegging mine on the line to dry after a wash, I don’t bat an eye at them at all. It has become quite a fun talking point seeing all the different patterns and prints people have opted for. I even have a jaunty little multi-coloured fish number you can look out for.
To keep up to date with all of our re-opening details, keep an eye on the Suffolk libraries website www.suffolk.libraries.co.uk, the Hadleigh Library Facebook page, or ring us on 01473 823778.
