Up to £7,500 is being made available to community groups, charities and projects as Stowmarket Town Council launches its annual grants scheme.
The grants scheme looks to fund local organisations for projects and initiatives that will benefit the residents of Stowmarket. The maximum grant that can be applied for is £500. It is hoped that the grants will give groups within the area a funding boost.
The scheme has funded projects such as Stowmarket Food Bank, Stowmarket Accident Rescue Service (SARS) and Battisford and District Cricket Club in previous years. Battisford & District Cricket Club said: “Having new equipment transformed training night and has encouraged more youngsters to get involved.” Deputy Town Clerk Michelle Marshall added: “Last year we had some money left in the pot and we are really eager to get the word out to our local community groups, we are here to help you!”
Groups have until Tuesday, November 3rd to apply for the funding. Application pack are available to download at www.stowmarket.org/public-services/grants or contact Stephanie Edmans on 01449 612060 or [email protected] for further information.
