Gorseland Primary School Hedgehog Nursery

We are once again welcoming children of key workers and those with an EHCP into school and Nursery during the current lockdown and closure of schools. For families with children at home, we are supporting them through remote learning, utilising Google Classroom, which, through the video function, enables children to communicate with the rest of their class and with teachers on a regular basis.

We are contacting all children as often as we can to see how they are doing and to support them with their work, including listening to them read.

Gorseland Community Foodbank
We are also supporting families with food baskets and have set up a Gorseland Community Foodbank with the specific aim of supporting pupils in need during the coming weeks. A trolley will be left outside next to the main school office entrance. If you would like to drop off any items whilst you are out on your daily walk, this would be greatly appreciated.

Please ensure that you maintain social distance if you encounter other families and wear a mask whilst on the school site. We would be particularly grateful for the following items: pasta, rice, tinned goods (such as baked beans, soup, custard, rice pudding, tuna, fruit) and eggs. All items will be quarantined for three days before being distributed.

Thank you in advance for any donations you can make. We hope that you all stay safe during these ongoing challenging times.
