Claydon & Barham Good Neighbour Scheme

Claydon & Barham GNS announced that they will be holding an AGM in May. They wish they could meet in person, but current restrictions requires them to meet online and they hope you will join them on Zoom from 8pm on Tuesday 11 May.

Please contact us at [email protected] by Friday 7 May if you would:

1: Like to attend the AGM and need the Zoom link (this will be sent out two days before the meeting). Please provide them with the name you will use on Zoom as only names supplied will be allowed into the meeting.

2: Wish to express interest in being on the committee. As all members of the committee must step down, the GNS team are taking ‘expressions of interest’ for the following core roles: Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. They also welcome expressions of interest from anyone who brings a passion for the community to also be a committee member. Please state a specific role you may be interested in and a couple of sentences about why you would like to be considered.

Please note, all nominations/seconds and voting will take place at the AGM and this (the voting) is for GNS members only. Their members are defined as their volunteers and supporters/donors.

Along with the Zoom link, the agenda, reports and list of those who have expressed interest in being on the committee will be sent out two days before to all those who have registered to attend.

If you haven’t used Zoom before but have an internet device, perhaps a friend or family member can guide you. If not, the team are happy to talk to you in advance of the meeting.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch with them if you would like help or have any queries: [email protected] / 07925 667671

Easter Window Competition

The Claydon and Barham Good Neighbour Scheme had some lovely entries to the Easter window competition which was voted on by visitors to the Good Neighbours Scheme Facebook page.

Alysia and Amelia came second and third and each received an Easter egg. Mya and Renae came first, scooping up the Easter basket that was packed with lots of Easter favourites. The team would like to thank The Coffee Station for their donation of Easter Egg Brownies and two coffees. They also had a donation of freshly baked hot cross buns from Freshfills.

The windows raised a smile from passers-by and the team are assured the children enjoyed getting involved.

They would like to thank everyone who entered and welcomes any ideas from children on what they might like to do across the community in the future.
