ENTHUSIASTS WITH CLASSIC MOTORS

Suffolk-based classic car restoration company, Bridge Classic Cars, has been running raffle-style classic car competitions for almost 12 months and, in that time, have produced 32 lucky winners. A large proportion of those winners reside in East Anglia, helping grow our local classic car community.

Out of the 32 winners, eight have been from East Anglia, with the winners receiving a Rolls Royce Silver Spirit, VW Beetle, Triumph TR3, 1990 Austin Mini, Vauxhall Viva, Triumph Spitfire, 1974 Austin mini and, most recently, a 1949 Morris Minor Lowlight.

Matthew Sudgen from Ipswich had only entered one ticket after hearing about it through a local newspaper and was delighted to find out that he had won the classic Morris Minor just a few weeks later. For many, winning a classic car is a dream come true to receive something that may be otherwise unattainable.

Bridge Classic Cars wanted to raise the spirits of the classic car community amidst the first Covid-19 lockdown and have, in turn, managed to grow the local classic car community. For only a few pounds, people can win a classic car, allowing those who would usually admire from a distance, to get more involved in the classic car lifestyle.

Month by month, the value in cars grew and the audience widened as excitement for the raffles expanded. With each competition comes its own Facebook-hosted live draw where the enthusiasts get an inside look at Bridge’s hanger at Bentwaters. Alongside the results, viewers can also meet the team, including Bridge Classic Car’s own in-house presenter, Charlotte, who hosts each live draw and brings a sense of character to the competition.

The current line-up is three fantastic minis from different eras with several other exciting motors coming up soon.
