The 2019 series of the popular “Afternoon Tea” Guided Walks, arranged by Ipswich Tourist Guides, commences Wednesday 9th January. Each of the walks has a theme related to an aspect of Ipswich’s history and ends in one of the town’s independent Tea Rooms for a welcome cuppa and a piece of cake.
The first walk, entitled “Behind Closed Doors” will be exploring the history, and characters, connected with some of the buildings in Ipswich’s historic Town Centre that many people may regularly walk passed every day. It commences at the Tourist Information Centre at 2.00pm and finishes at “Chapters” Restaurant for a cream tea. Tickets cost £9.00 per person, per walk, which includes the refreshments
Further themed walks will take place in January and continue through into April. Full details are available on a free leaflet from Ipswich Tourist Information Centre (call 01473 258070 or email [email protected]).
Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available from the Tourist Information Centre, Ipswich Regent Box Office, or on line at [email protected].
