A Word From The Woodbridge Rotary Club

Woodbridge Rotary is resuming meetings once again, virtually for the time being. With the help of technology we are Zooming, a new buzz word for the Rotary Dictionary.

Sadly, like many other charities our fundraising activities have all been put on hold. Our next event is the Golf Day which is planned for the Tuesday 8 September. You will be able to find more details on our web site in due course.

Proceeding with this, and any event, is subject to government guidelines and social distancing. Keep an eye on our website for this event and the planned charity cycle ride proposed for Sunday 25 October and the Christmas Carol Service planned for Wednesday 16 December.

In between these events we hope to arrange some heritage walks around the town; keep an eye on our website for more details.

All charities are suffering from a serious lack of funding. One thing for certain is that any money donated to good causes via Rotary actually goes to where it is destined to go with no administration costs. If you feel you can afford the odd pound or two which we can use to help support others, please feel free to donate. If you are able and would like to help, please get in touch and we can advise you how.

If you live locally to Woodbridge and are in severe financial need, we do have a small amount of funds available to help you out. If we’re not able to help, we may be able to facilitate another organisation to assist. We can’t make many promises during these uncertain times, but we can promise to try.

Well that’s it for now. Keep a watch on our website and if you have any questions, please contact us at: [email protected]
Your enquiry will then be directed to the most appropriate person within the club.
