Piano Recital For EACH

Alison Bestow and Claire Vane are holding a piano duet concert on Saturday 24th March at 7pm at the Royal Hospital School in Holbrook and would love to have your company in the audience. The concert will be held in the music school with the school’s finest grand pianos. The aim is to raise £1,000 for St Elizabeth Hospice. The programme has something for everyone; Mozart sonata for two pianos, K448, Schubert Rondo in A major, D951 and a number of dances and light-hearted pieces including Tea for Two, Hava Nagila and Country Gardens. Holbrook’s Poppy Trail

Words by Deputy Headteacher Mr Reynolds The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) awarded £6,200 to Holbrook Primary School’s ‘Poppy Trail’ to mark its former pupils’ contribution in the Battle of Arras in the spring of 1917. Awarded through HLF’s First World War: Then and Now programme, the project commemorates the 100 year anniversary of the First World War One. 1st Holbrook Brownies

Holbrook Brownies have taken advantage of the beautiful summer evenings. Since starting back in April, they have only spent one evening in the hall. Their last evening of the term was no exception, where they met at Holbrook Creek for their annual sand sculpture competition. First, they held their enrolment ceremony and then it was time to get creative, and very muddy.
