It has been announced that a major traditional Irish music festival is to take place in Stowmarket this spring. Funding has been confirmed from ‘Culture Ireland’ (an Irish organisation which funds professional Irish musicians appearing in the UK) and from Stowmarket Town Council for the festival which will take place over the weekend of 26th – 28th April this year. 2018 brings the seventh annual Singing Safari concert to Ipswich. In October 2018 an intrepid bunch of singers set off on an imaginary Singing Safari to collect songs from all over the world. Harbour Lights Trio

Local Trio Harbour Lights are releasing their first CD, Good Company, in early November. The group, who are based in East Suffolk (Woodbridge, Rendlesham & Southwold) have performed for many local clubs and societies and at village concerts. They have also sung further afield at folk clubs and festivals such as Sidmouth and FolkEast.
