Buxhall & Shelland Church Fete

The ever popular Buxhall and Shelland Church Fete takes place in the beautiful garden of Copinger Hall, next to St Mary’s Church, Buxhall IP14 3DJ on Saturday, August 4 from 2-5.30pm.

This year the main attraction is Colchester Historical Dance who will be performing a number of Tudor and medieval dances in their stunning period costumes, accompanied by professional musicians playing on authentic period instruments. A colourful scene for sure and bound to include some audience participation.

There will of course be the popular classic car and motorcycle display, steam traction engine, miniature train and a vast array of traditional games and stalls, including the beer tent, tea tent, barbeque, cakes, Pimms and, new for this year, the gin and tonic stall!

The extensive children’s play area will keep the little ones amused and there are ice creams to keep everyone refreshed.

Admission is free with plenty of parking available. All proceeds in aid of church funds
