Cards for Good Causes is looking for a manager to co-ordinate its Stowmarket multi-charity Christmas card shop, at Stowmarket Library, from Tuesday 24th October to Saturday 16th December.
Although it may seem early to talk of Christmas cards, to help raise as much as possible, their organisation needs to recruit someone to help manage the shop, as soon as possible.
No special skills are needed for the role – just plenty of common sense, enthusiasm and commitment. The manager’s duties include supervising the day-to-day running of the shop, organising a rota of voluntary helpers prior to opening, re-ordering stock and relevant paperwork. It does carry a modest remuneration and can be shared.
This year Stowmarket will be one of more than 300 outlets across the UK operated by Cards for Good Causes Limited, the trading company of registered charity The 1959 Group of Charities.
In the past 10 years, charities have received more than £40million from Cards for Good Causes, representing at least 70p in every pound, out of which the charities pay for the production and distribution of their Christmas cards and any VAT.
Additional volunteers are also needed to staff the shop. Could you spare a morning or afternoon each week to help?
